Community
We value the image of God in all people, everywhere. We believe that we were created to live deeply with one another, carrying each other's burdens, sharing our possessions, to pray for and confess our sins to each other, to suffer and celebrate together. It's in these honest, loving relationships that God transforms us and truth becomes a reality. The way of Jesus cannot be lived alone. Therefore it necessitates getting Connected!
Get Connected
Highland Naz provides many ways for you to "get connected" with fellow
members to form meaningful, lasting relationships and receive the
personal encouragement, support, and prayers that every believer needs.
Here's how you can get connected at Highland Church of the Nazarene:
1. Service
Serving with others is one of the best ways to get to know people and build valuable relationships. There are many volunteer ministries at Highland Naz.
Interested in serving during our weekly worship services. We are currently recruiting volunteers to be a part of our Service Teams, Adventure Land Leaders, Student Ministries volunteers or Choir Members. You can sign up in the church office:
Service Teams - Ushers, Greeters, Information Center, and Prayer Partners
Adventure Land - Children's Teachers, Worship Leaders, Registration Volunteers
Student Ministries - Teachers, Worship Leaders, Small Group Leaders
Choir - Singers and Musicians.
2. Small Groups
Highland Naz's small groups are all about friends, encouragement, prayer and study of God's Word! In a small group you can take a break from the busy demands of everyday life and invest in what is really important: your relationship with God and your relationship with the people around you. In a church our size it is impossible to know everyone but you need to know someone. Currently our main small groups take the form of Sunday school and Men’s/women’s study groups. This fall we launch Connect – a small group ministry that will meet in homes in the neighboring communities. All of our groups are led by specially trained facilitators and hosts.
Get connected in your community!
